Hello beautiful heart,
I am a midwife of the voice, and I believe that we know how to sing, in the same way that we know how to birth - and that this connection to what is essential and uniquely ours is a birthright simply awaiting the safety, the witnessing, the space to allow. I believe that this creative channel can be cultivated and watered, like the most beautiful garden, and that its gifts are plenty - and first for our own hearts. Within the fertile and safe space of our journey together, your relationship with your voice is tended and transforms - into something generative, life-affirming, and full of medicine.
This journey of opening the voice is one of an ever-deepening journey of coming home. Home to an essence, a language, and a feeling of belonging to the self and to life in a profound way.
It is for everyone that speaks - for if you can speak, you can sing. Like the grace of a child in their precious expression, we too, carry that unique note, that unencumbered essence, simply awaiting like a pearl beneath the surface.
It is likely you have felt a particular draw to open your voice and connect more with music - whether you used to sing as a child and no longer feel that connection to your voice, or you simply feel a deep knowing that opening the throat and voice is a vital part of your journey as a woman and a human at this time, I am bow to the listening to that precious call.
There is no doubt that right now, Life is asking us to participate with the uniqueness that only we can bring, and I find that the voice is one such way to offer, to give, to share that precious uniqueness our our being with life.
Voice work opens us to more than just song ~
In my work with women over the last 10 plus years, I have found that when we answer this call to sing, we receive so much more than just the joy of singing - which let me say, is a lot in its own right. We receive a type of connection to embodied knowing, a touching in with the deepest parts of ourself and our wisdom, and a communion with aliveness and our own spark that has so much rich information for us. It is embodiment, yet also a deep merging with our knowing.
And I believe many are being called to truly live there at these times, to claim that seat of expression, joy, and love that desires to move through us - in song and in so many other ways.
Much of the work of singing is deeply connected to sovereignty and charting the course of our lives- feeling our creative embodied essence, our unique note, allows for us to truly paint the beautiful image that we are here to paint - with heart.
The exploration of your song as a medicine, your voice as a channel of creation, and the exploration of your song - your true heartfelt communion with your voice is one of the greatest gifts you can give - to your own heart first. 4 month vocal mentorship ~ my unique note
In our 1-on-1 journey together, we will open an altar for your song and a specific prayer that feels alive for you and your voice over the course of our time - whether that is in relationship to your children and family, your channeling and crafting your own songs, holding space for others with your voice, - we will get to dive into all of the longings you carry around your own voice and its magic.
This is the most in depth and held offering of the one-on-one work I offer - this longer joureny of in-depth work is for those desiring to have the spaciousness to soften, blossom, and unfurl in the voice in an organic, nurtured, and embodied way.
This is a space to hold you within a rebirth of yourself - to be held in song and soften over a period of months, while we allow what is new to come forward and guide you, with the voice as your vehicle.
This mentorship can be for any women sensing that they are on a threshold and needing softening and a cultivation of trust to cross over to the next place. It is also for those who intuitively feel called to reconnect with the medicine of their voices, and possibly offer that medicine in various ways - be it through your unique musical offerings, weaving sound in with your clients, or hosting song circles in your community. The space is one of deep support in allowing your trust in your own facilitation with song to become unshakable and full of You!
The voice and our connection with it translates directly to how we share ourselves, feel in our bodies, express our needs, know our desires, and connect with others - the voice is meant to be used in song, in praise, in clear boundary setting, and it is the expression of our most intimate self.
Many of us have silenced our voices for one reason or another, often times experiencing traumas that stifle our authentic way of being in the world - practices of embodied voice work help to tend to those lost places and bring them home - call them home in song.
Our time together is deep & it is gentle & full of ritual.
In this 5 month journey, we dive into real time practice together each session, allowing the medicine of your voice to flower and generously bless your own heart first.
This is for anyone who feels called to open their voice and connect with their unique song channel, and receive support along the journey of opening to deeper authenticity - and sharing that authenticity with your voice and song as a guiding light for your own world and community.
You will have access to tools that support you in accessing authentic expression, both relationally and musically.
This is an altar that connects us to the spirit that wishes to sing through us.
As any altar gives us a space to open, receive, allow, and nourish the garden of our song and voice.
The 4 month vocal mentorship includes
1 75 session to begin our journey together and open the altar, and 17 60 minute weekly sessions (for 4 months) on zoom (or in person if local).
Techniques to open, soften, and relax into the voice
Communication via Whatsapp to share songs, inspirations, and collaborate on songs together ~ where creativity gets to live between our live sessions
Teaching of several songs - songs to share in groups, sing to family, and for holding ceremonial space
Learning rhythm with song
Learning basic guitar (if desired)

Together we will enter that sweet space of softening, listening, and courage to allow the medicine of your voice to emerge.
This is a space of opening, and allowing within your body and your voice. As the womb softens, the voice opens, and we are able to receive and move from a place of more generative and joyful energy in our lives.
I offer serval techniques to get into the body and vibrate the body with our sound, using rhythm, toning, mantra that is called forth in a moment, and we enter into a play and creation together that brings a clarity and aliveness through the voice. There is also time for sharing and connecting around particular themes and song weaving inside of these themes as support - offering wisdom and embodied knowing - this all happens together in a beautiful space of weaving.
Our time allows for the space and the opening to your own song to flow and your own medicine to reveal itself. An entering beyond mind into the intuitive, creative channel of beauty and prayer that connects you to your knowing an generates beauty.
Our journey is a space to develop a newfound relationship with your voice -one of connection and love for your voice as you begin to feel her as generative and life-giving, those feelings of warmth and connection to our own voice naturally emerge.
You deserve to feel freedom, ease, and an embodied knowing arising from your singing - and to share it with yourself first - and from that overflow, with life.
In our time together, I utilize compassionate inquiry as well as many of the embodiment practices I have discovered and cultivated, including a rich relationship with the plants for 10+ years.
In our deep listening we bring through the mantras and songs that are wanting to give us life, awaken and soften different parts of our bodies through sounding and toning, and cultivating more of an embodied connection to our voice as a free-flowing current of energy.
The voice is connected to how we share ourselves in all parts of our lives, it is connected to the subtle ways we maintain a sovereign connection to our truth, it is the quickest way I have found back to our wisdom and heart - and it is our birthright to maintain this connection to our wisdom and the animate world through our voices. And to enjoy it! As a medicine in our bundle - as women, stewards of Earth, mothers, weavers of what is possible through our unique note resounding in this life.

My sessions with Annie

When I began working with Annie
I had a deep longing and yearning for something deep within me, but I didn’t yet know what it was. I knew my voice was locked up in a proverbial box and I wanted to free it, I knew that there was a link with my personal power bound up in that connection with my voice. What I didn’t know, was how to unlock the box. I also didn’t know how deeply my soul needed this to happen right here and now. Immediately, Annie felt like a blanket of safety and connectivity. Nestled in the nourishing presence of her container, there was a deep part of me that began to spring open—like the missing key to my locked away box was suddenly available and turning to open.
